The object of the game is to reach a sum closest or equal to 21 without going over and there is a lot of strategy involved here.

Before you play blackjack, you can practice it online and get yourself prepared for the real deal where money can be made or lost. Online blackjack is quite popular these days and you will not have a problem in find a site to play at.

It is important to pay close attention to probabilities and this is essentially the key factor in the game. Since you are only playing against the dealer, this becomes difficult since you are not aware of the card that your opponents received.

In any of the poker card rooms and casinos in North America and Europe, Texas Hold ‘em is the most popular form of game. It is also one of the most popular online casino games. Basically Texas Hold ‘em is a community card game. Each of the players can use any of the combination of the five community cards. Player who owns two hole cards makes the poker hand.

There are no limits on betting in the regular, Televised, or Internet gaming forms of Texas Hold ‘em such as the World Series Poker or World Poker Tours.

Each player starts the game with only two cards and the rest of the cards are shared. Texas Hold em poker strategy and mathematical analysis are the two main ingredients of success at the game.

The dealer starts the game shuffling a standard 52-card deck. However, in casinos, the dealer button, a round disc moves clockwise and identifying each dealer on turn. Ordinarily the game will start having two players towards the left side of the dealer having put in the game some predetermined amount of money. This is known in the gaming circuit as “posting the blinds”.

First a round of betting takes place. Players on turn will call, raise, or fold as they like. After the first round of betting is over, dealer will discard the top card in the deck, called “burning the card”. This is done to ensure that no one accidentally views the top card. Dealer flips three subsequent cards, called “flop”. In the same manner the betting goes on.

The next two deals are called the “fourth street” and “fifth street” respectively. Now the players will use any combination of seven cards including five community cards and two hold cards. After this all players will reveal their hands with initial dealer the first to show. The player having best hand wins the poker game.

I consider online casinos to be one of the great innovations of the computer age. For the casual poker player for instance they have been great. No longer do you have to make phone call after phone call in an effort to find enough players for a game. You can sit down in your underwear and with the click of a button have thousands of different people willing to play with you.

There are games for players of all budgets. You can play poker online for as little as a twenty dollar initial deposit. Better yet are the odds and rates you are charged to play. The rake for poker at most online casinos is far less than the rate charged by brick and mortar poker rooms. You are offered the same odds at Blackjack as any casino on the Vegas Strip. The only concern I feel an online player should have is the security of each site. You should do your homework and read about each one on the internet. Stick with the big sites who have a large player base and clear history of prompt payouts to winners.

Welcome to this weeks poker hand quiz… which also happens to be the first!

Game information: Texas Hold’em 9-handed, $20 SNG. 7 players left. 20/40 blinds.

We are only 5 hands into a 9 man sit and go tournament for $20. Despite this, 2 players have already crashed out following a 3 way all-in which saw Mr. A come away with a triple up thanks to his pocket aces. The blinds are still at 20/40 and you are yet to make a play, folding on both of the blinds that just passed you.

You are dealt 7 6 on the button and opt to raise it up to 120 following no action from the prior players. You are called by Mr. A who is now sat on 4550 chips on your left, to your 1440 stack. The BB folds and the flop lands…

8 5 6

Mr. A checks and you lead out for 200, but are insta re-raised to 500.

What is your play?
